Renovation and adaptive reuse of a industrial building into a performing arts studio.
The site combines a preserved single-family house along the street with a former industrial structure occupying the inner block. The rear building was transformed into a flexible space for theatre, dance and socio-cultural activities.
Through selective cuts in the existing volume, courtyards and patios were introduced to bring daylight deep into the plot and structure the programme. A shared garden now separates the house from the studio, acting as a buffer space and revealing the site’s industrial remains.
Organised around a patio, the studio accommodates services and a large open space dedicated to artistic practice. With a limited budget, the project relies on simple, targeted interventions and durable, natural materials.
